It primarily publishes the full text of decisions from the German Federal Court of Justice, Federal Constitutional Court, Federal Fiscal Court, Federal Administrative Court, Federal Labour Court, Federal Social Court, as well as higher regional courts, higher administrative courts, labour courts, and fiscal courts in the German states. It also includes some decisions from the Court of Justice of the European Union and the General Court of the European Union. The site has been publishing content since 1998 and contains around 160,000 documents.
Its main value lies in historical case-law research.
