Pros and Cons

Its advantages are that the product is mature, clearly positioned, well documented, covers common receptionist and supervisor call-handling workflows, and does not require a desktop client. The downside is that it does not build the PBX for you, nor is it a cloud calling platform by itself. Installation and troubleshooting require experience with Linux, Asterisk/FreeSWITCH, AMI/ESL, web services, and databases. Some documentation still mentions Flash for recording playback or legacy browser compatibility, so the level of modernization should be verified against the actual version in use. Who It’s For and Access from China

FOP2 is suitable for companies, call centers, reception teams, hosted PBX providers, and integrators that already run their own Asterisk/FreeSWITCH systems.
