ETCD Manager is a free, open-source ETCD v3 graphical client maintained by i-Cell-Mobilsoft-Open-Source. It is positioned as a cross-platform GUI covering Windows, macOS, and Linux. The project has a clear goal: to provide a modern interface for desktop, mobile, and web, while covering as much of the ETCD functionality available through etcdctl as possible. At the moment, however, the stable release is mainly focused on the desktop client, and it explicitly does not support the ETCD v2 API.
The current v1.2 release already covers the main objects needed for day-to-day ETCD administration: browsing, creating, editing, and deleting keys, with support for TTL keys. The key browser offers both tree and paginated list views, and can refresh in real time when values change. It also supports viewing revisions for any key and rolling back to previous values, which is useful for configuration troubleshooting and recovery from accidental changes. On the cluster side, it can display basic information, node status, and perform health checks. For security, it supports username/password authentication, HTTPS client certificates, HTTP/HTTPS connections, and unauthenticated access. On the permissions side, it can manage users, roles, and permissions. Lease and watcher management are also supported.
The product is free, with no commercial edition or subscription information shown. Installation is relatively straightforward, with prebuilt packages for Windows, macOS, and Linux, as well as SnapCraft support. Developers can clone the source code from GitHub and use Yarn and Electron to start a development build, but compiling the gRPC Node extension is required, which creates some environment setup overhead for contributors. Documentation is a clear weak point: the page states that detailed documentation is not yet complete, so support currently relies mainly on the built-in quick help, keyboard shortcut guides, and GitHub issues.
Its strengths are that it is free, open source, cross-platform, runs locally, and supports internal-network usage, making it suitable for ETCD operations in enterprise intranets or offline environments. Multiple profiles also make it useful for managing multiple clusters. The downsides are that ETCD v2 is not supported, while Web, iOS, and Android versions are still only planned. Features such as dashboards, complex transaction queries, diff, reporting, and deeper watcher integrations have not yet landed. It is best suited for developers, SREs, and platform engineering teams who already understand ETCD but want to reduce command-line work.
The page does not provide information about access from mainland China, mirrors, payment, or localization. Since the project is hosted on GitHub/GitHub Pages, actual access stability may depend on the network environment, but this cannot be determined from the text alone, so it is marked as unknown. If access is restricted, users can fall back to etcdctl or choose an ETCD management solution that can be deployed or mirrored internally by their own team.
