8Labs is an Indonesia-based provider with a more lab-oriented positioning. Its products are built around Virtual Labs, Virtual Dedicated Labs, CloudLabs, ElasticLabs, and NAT Labs. Rather than targeting traditional production VPS use cases, it is aimed at developers, students, IT professionals, and Homelab users who need virtual machines for experiments, testing, and running small workloads.

Its strengths lie in its flexible product formats. It offers different networking models, including IPv6, public IPv4/IPv6, private IPv4, and NAT. Some plans support snapshot recovery, and Virtual Dedicated Labs is explicitly described as KVM-based virtual machines. CloudLabs also lists an Amsterdam location and appears to be positioned toward higher-bandwidth use cases.

That said, the public pages lack detailed specifications, pricing, billing cycles, and stock information; these all need to be checked in the my.8labs.id panel. Its backup policy is also fairly conservative: it does not provide third-party external backups and does not guarantee the integrity of backups kept on the same node.

On the network side, there is no indication of China-optimized routes such as CN2, CMI, or 9929, so users in mainland China should not expect particularly good connectivity. Overall, 8Labs is better suited for learning, testing, temporary experiments, and budget-sensitive lightweight use cases. It is not recommended for hosting critical production data.
